Arnie Somogyi is one of the UK's most in-demand bass players and has played on over 50 albums, including four as a leader. These days, he can frequently be seen as a member of Ronnie Scott’s house band, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars. Ambulance, his own band, made such an impact they were chosen for the first-ever jazz-residency at Snape Maltings, where they created an entirely original set of new material which featured on their highly acclaimed debut, ‘Accident and Insurgency’. That album, including legendary NY trumpeter, Eddie Henderson, was nominated for ‘Best Album’ at The BBC Jazz Awards. A new album is now in the pipeline and this concert will feature new material plus classics from their previous recording.
